THEATRE IN BOLOGNA
The people of Bologna love their theatre. There are also several theatre schools and attract a lot of interest. The main theatre of Bologna is Arena del Sole which has two different rooms, one large area for all the major performances with world famous mega stars and artists, while the smaller room, would be more for avant garde theatre and smaller experimental work. The Teatro Duse is the oldest theatre in Bologna and it is part of the Italian Theatre Association. There is also another very old theatre called the Teatro delle Moline which is very small (audience for 55) but it is most popular. Famous artistic directors would feature a lot of their experimental work here. For a more commercial show, try the Teartro della Celebrazioni or the Teatro Dehon which would have the musicals and cabaret stage shows. Testoni Ragazzi is a theatre and centre for the arts dedicated to the younger generation where on- going workshops as well as shows and events to interest children are held every week. |
